Long Beach’s senior planner to speak to Belmont Heights group
The Belmont Heights Community Association will host Steve Gerhardt, senior planner for Long Beach, at its 7 p.m. Jan. 13 meeting at Belmont Heights United Methodist Church, 317 Termino Ave.
Gerhardt will provide an update on the 2030 Plan being formulated by the city and demonstrate its potential impact on Belmont Heights.
There will also be a discussion centered on improving commercial corridors – namely Broadway, Fourth Street and Redondo Avenue.
Additional topics include upcoming board nominations, Colorado Lagoon, the “Bike Boulevard” on Vista Street and efforts to address motorcycle noise and traffic, and a membership drive.
Residents with concerns or ideas about Belmont Heights are welcome to address them at the meeting.
